Heat?

Yesterday the weather guy blew it again. The temp was supposed to be in the 90's with the heat index in the 100's. So I planned on just hunkering down in the air conditioning. For most of the day the temp stayed in the mid 70's and I just tinkered around carving and cutting out wood blanks for future carving. It feels a little steamy this morning, so it could get nasty by afternoon.
Our Church is getting a new DCE Intern [Director of Christian Education] who will be starting on July 10th. I am on the welcome committee and spent one day last week running around to dollar stores looking for decorations. The theme is welcome wagon with a western touch. So I did find a purple cowboy hat[LWML color is purple]  for his wife, and a ravelled straw farmers hat for Ben. Then I found these little baskets that I could put wheels on and flowers in the basket for table  centerpieces. I sliced the wheels from a wooden closet rod and drew in the spokes.
I have to get back to that $ store to pick up more baskets.  I think we will need about 10, so that means I have to make 40 wheels for the cart.
