Raccoon

I have a raccoon living under my deck. The folks at the woodcarving class said to play the radio and they will leave. So now I have the radio playing country under my deck. I just searched for more info on the internet and they say to tune the radio to a talk show. So now I have to go and retrieve the radio and change the station to WGN. I hope it works, it sure would be cheaper than calling the Wildlife Police to trap him or her or them. How will I know that he is gone? I have only seen him on the deck once so far and when I made a noise he ran back under the deck.
