Monday

I took a ride over to Silver Lake Country Club to check on the boys (Keith and John) working on their carving. It was a big old maple tree that the golf course cut down and they are carving  an image of the owner lining up a putt. The carving is right on the edge of a practice green. They have been at it for quite a while as the maple tree is very hard. I had to check out the quality of their work.

Yesterday I met some of the carvers and  their wives at Fox's for pizza. It was a fun supper as it usually is with that bunch. Sonya's mother who is 99 was also there. She can't hear but always has a big smile on her face. Sonya was looking good after her last bout with cancer. That woman is quite the fighter.

Tonight is voter's meeting at Church. We will be electing new leadership council and board members and resolving a few other issues. Mine is a two year term so I do not have to run this year.
