Saturday/Sunday

Yesterday I went to the Lemont Art and Culture Commission's outdoor art show. Wow, so windy and cold; I felt sorry for the folks trying to sell anything. Also stopped in to the gallery to pick up my carvings and found I won a raffle prize - two lawn chairs in a bag. In the afternoon I went to the Lemont Nursing Home to spread Sonshine and help the residents play bingo. The poor soul I helped couldn't see very well so I had to point out the number on her card.  We had a drawing for two crocheted lap robes made by LWML ladies. While I was at the nursing home, I visited my friend Dan who is there for a couple of weeks of rehab. He had back surgery last week. He seems to be doing pretty good so far, his house has a step or two going from room to room so he has to have good mobility.

Speaking of LWML, today is LWML Sunday so we serve the "and" for the coffee and. We also perform a skit. I think we are getting to be better and better actresses. It was fun and our audience seemed to enjoy. And then I sang with the Praise Team at the late service. This afternoon is an organ concert put on by our music director, Jason.
