Saturday was the Northern Illinois District's LWML convention. It was held at St. Paul Church in Mt. Prospect. There were over 300 women and a few men present. We voted on where our mites will go for the next two years. The ministry at Joliet prison was the winner along with 3 others. We also elected new officers. We heard a very funny speaker, Dr. Bimler and also listened to Phil Zielke of Phil's Friends. We all brought things he uses to make up cancer care packages and some of us got to make up a care package to take home and give to a cancer patient we know. This is a picture of Phil speaking to us at the convention and one of he and I. Me in my LWML purple shirt. Most of the women there wear purple, but no red hats.
Today I go to the dentist to have my fractured tooth pulled. Not looking forward to it.
Yesterday Karrie, Katie and I went to Lee's for dinner. Tom smoked a brisket and a chicken. Quite tasty. Brad and Katie both had on their favorite football team's jersey. Brad has his bear head hat , but Katie didn't have her cheesehead hat with her.

Good luck with that tooth!! I had shoulder yesterday so we will both be resting and taking pain pills!! Misery loves company, right?
Right. Hope you are feeling better. How long before you can use that shoulder? I imagine your arm is in a sling to keep the shoulder in place.
