The kohlrabi was quite tasty. It has a little flavor of cooked cabbage, but not as strong. And the sour cream sauce was lush. If anyone wants to try it, here is the recipe, which I think is Scandinavian or Dutch based on the foreign words.
Kohlrabi (karaalade tejfollel)
6 pared medium kohlrabi
1/4 C hot water
1 onion ,chopped
1 tbs. flour
3 tbs. butter
salt to taste
1 tsp. paprika
1 C sour cream
Cut kohlrabi into cubes. Cook onions in butter until lightly browned. Add paprika, kohlrabi, water and salt. Cover and cook until tender. Stir together the sour cream and flour and add mixture to kohlrabi stirring continually until sauce is thick.
I cut this recipe in half and used 3 kohlrabi.

Hello! This is the first "blog" I have visited. Thanks for the note. It was good to hear from you. Tell everyone hello. I appreciate the updates. Mike called the other day but I haven't had a chance to call him back -I was out of town.
