Pastor did the children's sermon today with Gizmo the star of VBS last week. Some of the kids ran away when Gizmo came out and some just sat there and laughed. Gizmo was created by one of our members out of a garbage can, with blinking lights and all. Ken is a real engineer.

Audrey, all the posts of this function were really cool and colorful. I love the food ideas. But I really like your little gator. He's cute.
By the way, my son has expressed an interest in learning to carve. Of course I want him to try anything so is there something you'd recommend? Is there a kit I should buy at the hobby store perhaps?

I can't remember seeing any kits at a craft store. I'll go through some of my woodcarving catalogs to see if there are any kits for beginners. The first things he'll need are bandaids. We do cut ourselves, so he should be prepared for that.
